Message from the President
Susan R. Daniels
Dear Kids’ Chance Friends and Supporters:
Kids’ Chance was founded in 1988 in Georgia and has since spread throughout the nation to provide educational scholarships to the children of workers’ who have been seriously or fatally injured. Here in Alaska, we stand on the shoulders of giants as we take our own momentous step in Founding Kids’ Chance of Alaska.
With sincere gratitude, I’d like to thank those individuals across our nation who founded, promoted and sponsored this important cause, as well as recognize our own local Board of dedicated industry professionals who have united together to found Kids’ Chance of Alaska in 2020.
Alaska had 31 workplace fatalities in 2019, and numerous serious injuries. As the daughter of a 30 year Claims Adjuster, with as many years in the industry now myself, I have witnessed the life-shattering impact that serious workplace injuries can have on individuals, families and their hopes and dreams for their futures. It is an honor to share in this effort to offer financial scholarships to the children of injured workers and encourage their opportunity to dream and to hope for a bright future toward their educational goals.
As a volunteer organization, donations and volunteer support are critical to our success in impacting these kids. We welcome you to partner in this effort to help ensure we can make dreams for higher education come true for deserving students.
If you are interested in volunteering for Kids’ Chance of Alaska, or in Board membership, please contact us at (907) 929-9112 or via email at: info@kidschanceofalaska.org. Your generous gifts to support the organization are the key to these children’s future.
Sincerely,
Susan Daniels
Kid’s Chance of Alaska, President
