Founded on September 24, 2020, Kid’s Chance of Alaska passionately and dedicatedly operates on the principle that children of workers seriously injured or killed on the job deserve a chance at a college education opportunity.

Creating a future where every child impacted by a parent’s work-related injury or loss can freely pursue their educational aspirations without financial barriers.
Mission
Our primary mission is dedicated to granting scholarships to the children of workers affected by injury or fatality in the workplace, enabling them to successfully achieve their educational goals.

In 2018, 19 fatal occupational injuries and 3,554 work-related injuries resulting in lost time were recorded. Although the exact count of children affected by a parent’s income loss remains unknown, the undeniable necessity for supporting the future education of these kids is evident.
